Satan's Lies About Death by Shawn Smith Satan would have us believe that an eternity with him is going to be one big party. He whispers to us that we can have every sinner’s desire forever. What he doesn’t tell us is that, after the death of the body, the souls he has been given will go to Hades—a terrible place where the individual souls not written in the Book of Life will be sent. Here they will be tormented until Christ judges them. Note that Hades is not what the Roman Catholics call purgatory, where souls are purged painfully of sin so they may enter heaven. In fact, purgatory is taught nowhere in Scripture but was devised to accommodate Catholicism’s denial of justification by faith alone. When one dies with a soul sold to Satan, one is not afforded the opportunity for anything but Hell at a later time. When Jesus Christ has his judgment day, the sinner will be sent, along with Satan, to the fiery lake called Hell. I am sure many of us have heard people say such things as, "If there isn’t a lot of sex in heaven I don’t want to go," or, "If there aren’t a lot of bars with cold beer and pretty women, I don’t want to go." The list of trite comments can go on and on, and you can bet Satan is laughing his unholy butt off at the ignorant folks who spout such ridiculousness. You’d better believe that Hades is not going to be a wild party with all the sex, booze, and drugs you can do. On the contrary, it will be the worst nightmare you can conjure up. As you will see in the final pages of this book, God gave me a glimpse of Hades through my mental illness, and, trust me when I say this is not something you want to endure for an eternity. Whatever the sinner’s vice on earth happens to be, it will be his or her constant temptation in Hades. The best deceiver of all wants people to believe that our relationship with Christ has no bearing on the beauty and bliss that awaits everyone. Never doubt that Satan will play on those who have great fear of death. Just remember, if you are a child of God, death is nothing more than a chariot sent by our heavenly Father to gather us to him. The knightly Christian must learn that this earth is not our home. Death is to go home to our Lord, but life is to continue under the barrage of temptation and hurt sent at us by Satan and his demons. Being a knightly Christian, the thought of hell and an eternity of torment scares me very much, and it should scare you, too. Dear reader, I beg you to let go of your selfish, spoiled, wicked, and vile attitudes and tell Satan to go to Hell—literally! As a nation we should renounce our corruption, greed, and arrogance by getting down on our knees and thanking God for coming to earth as a man to save our sins. We can do this by repenting, accepting Christ into our hearts, and reciting the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13 KJV): Our Father which art in heaven, _________ An excerpt from FIND HAPPINESS!
