A special note from Barbara:

As you will learn from reading my Christian testimony, the radio was the means God used to send messages I needed to hear when I was at the lowest point in my life. Later, as a born-again Christian, I began to discover the amazing world of Christian radio, and, over the years, I have gained a wonderful grounding in theology by listening to the inspiring evangelical pastors listed below.

All of them are wonderful speakers! Some of their ministries are on television as well as radio, and now, all of them are represented on the Web as well. Check their sites to subscribe to free publications or ezines that may be offered, get program schedules, or listen to programs online. All of these pastors are also authors of books, CDs, DVDs, audio tapes and other resources that will be enlightening to anyone with an inquiring mind. Alistair Begg - Truth For Life
Alistair Begg has been senior pastor of Parkside Church, Cleveland. for the past 22 years. His radio ministry, launched in mid-95, offers superlative teaching, and his Scottish accent is delightfully refreshing. Truth for Life's mission is to teach the Bible with clarity and relevance so that unbelievers will be converted, believers will be established, and local churches will be strengthened. Dr. James Dobson - Focus on the Family
Dr. James Dobson is dedicated to the preservation of the home and family. In addition to keeping Christians up to date on controversial issues (for which he is repeated attacked by the media), his daily radio program often presents motivational, and sometimes humorous, speakers who brighten my day. Visit the Website to sign up to receive Focus on the Family magazine, and check the "Weekend Magazine" box to get the daily radio program schedule or listen to programs online. This organization also offers a wealth of books, audio and video resources, and magazines.

Billy Graham - Billy Graham Evangelistic Association
The world-famous Billy Graham needs no introduction, but to see just how far-reaching his evangelical efforts have been, visit the Website to get information on upcoming television specials and crusade/festival schedule. Various departments of the site will help you understand how to have a personal relationship with Christ, as well as how to share your faith with others.

Dr. David Jeremiah - Turning Point Ministries
Dr. David Jeremiah is pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, CA and President of Christian Heritage College. His inspiring messages are aired on several TV networks and heard daily on over 1300 radio stations. Dr. Jeremiah is a great teacher of Bible prophecy, and he offers a huge collection of books and related products. I particularly recommend his series on the book of Revelation, angels, and his humor messages ("Humor from the Family" & "Humor from the Church").

D. James Kennedy - Coral Ridge Ministries
Dr. James Kennedy died in September of 2007, but his ministry goes on. Pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale from 1960 to 2007, Dr. Kennedy was one of the most respected evangelists in the world. A gifted speaker who always went straight to the heart of the matter, he never failed to inspire and educate. Thankfully, his radio and television programs continue to air daily across the nation, and his faith-building resources, detailed on the ministry website, will enrich your life, instill positive values and strengthen your commitment to God and to America's Christian heritage.

Greg Laurie - Harvest Ministries
Greg Laurie is a gifted Bible teacher and evangelist with a daily national radio program. He successfully applies the word of God to daily problems and concerns, always in a down-to-earth manner, and often with great humor. He pastors Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside CA, one of the ten largest churches in the nation, and has reached millions through his Harvest Crusades in several states. He can also be heard both on television and on radio.

John MacArthur, Jr. - Grace to You
John MacArthur is the pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA, and he speaks daily on the "Grace to You" radio program." I like MacArthur's common-sense teaching and spirited method of delivery, and I have benefited from many of his books and tapes. His ministry Web site features free resources, daily radio programs and devotionals, Bible FAQs, articles, a radio-station locator, and a searchable product catalog. Dr. Adrian Rogers - Love Worth Finding Ministries
Dr. Adrian Rogers is one of America's Arial, Helvetica, sans-serifmost respected Bible preachers and Christian statesmen. He has pastored Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN since 1972. His radio-TV ministry is reaching hundreds of thousands of men and women in America and 35 foreign countries. I like Dr. Rogers' solid, practical teaching and enthusiastic style of delivery.

R. C. Sproul - Ligonier Ministries
R. C. Sproul is a theologian and very special teacher who has the ability to communicate complex theological truths in common language. He is the author of more than 30 books, and his catalog includes hundreds of affordable Cds, DVDs, MP3 files, and more. The ministry also publishes Tabletalk magazine, which I like very much. Sproul’s "Renewing Your Mind" program can also be heard on radio.

Charles R. Swindoll - Insight for Living
Every day, through daily radio broadcasts, resources, and its online ministry, Insight for Living delivers encouragement, support, and biblical application for daily living. Charles R. Swindoll is a magnificent, passionate speaker, teacher and author who often uses humor to get important points across. Podcasts of Swindoll's programs are available on the Website, along with a huge catalog of books and other resources.

Other Special Ministries

Thru The Bible
Dr. J. Vernon McGee is no longer alive, but his timeless "Thru the Bible" taped radio broadcasts are heard daily all over the world, presented in over 100 different languages, and they illustrate how one’s life’s work does not necessarily end with death. What Dr. McGee did superbly was take the listener through the Bible over a period of five years, verse by verse, book by book. On this Web site, you will find a link to the entire 5-year Bible study series that you can download FREE as MP3 files. However, the ministry does ask that users contribute what they can to offset the cost of this service.

Endtime Magazine Online - Irvin Baxter Jr., Editor-in-Chief
If you're interested in Bible prophecy, you will find this magazine and radio program of great interest. They explain how things happening around the world today are actually fulfilling Bible prophecy. Current "hot topics" include discussions of the coming national ID system (now a law set to go into effect in 2008) and the sophisticated computerized tracking systems that are destroying our privacy and anonymity.

Southwest Radio Church Ministries
Southwest Radio Church is non-denominational, instructional, evangelistic, missionary, and prophetic in purpose. SWRC broadcasts have been heard continuously since 1933, making it one of the oldest daily religious programs on the air. Pastor Noah Hutchings, radio host for the past 40 years, is also the author of dozens of books and booklets on prophecy and other Bible themes. The ministry offers an excellent monthly printed publication (Prophetic Observer) that examines events that have prophetic significance.
